Manchester United have made their move to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers this summer, with an £87m bid planned, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils made it four wins in a row on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 2-0 victory over Tottenham, with goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes keeping them in fourth place, in touching distance with Villa in third.
But there are question marks over the future of the captain beyond this summer, and INEOS are now prepared to make a big play to bring in the England international as a potential replacement this summer in a mega-money deal.

Rogers, who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo, signed a new long-term contract until 2031 at Villa Park earlier this season to reflect his status as a key player in Unai Emery's side, but that hasn't put clubs off showing an interest in his services.
It's believed that Villa have slapped a €100m (£87m) asking price on his head to ward off potential suitors, but United are willing to demonstrate their financial strength to bring the 23-year-old to Old Trafford.
United chiefs believe that bringing in a player of his age with his level of quality and experience would lead to being competitive immediately, and with the club hoping to be playing European football once again next season, they need more additions to help with squad depth.
Rogers could come into the club to replace Bruno Fernandes, who has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the club.
There is strong interest from Saudi Arabia, and while United would likely prefer to keep him, turning down a mega-money offer for someone who turns 32 later this year would be incredibly difficult to do.

His goal against Bournemouth on Saturday made it ten for the season, and it shows that he is ready to step up and make an impact at the highest level, whether that is with Villa or elsewhere, and a move to United would represent the type of business the club used to do under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Rogers is clearly ready to make the step up and play at the highest level on a regular basis, and Man Utd are ready to offer him that platform.
