Newcastle United were beaten 3-2 at St James’ Park by Brentford in the Premier League.
Another week, another Newcastle United defeat. And this time, it could be their most damaging of their recent run of poor showings.
More points dropped from a winning position too, as Sven Botman gave them an early lead v the Bees, only for the game to be flipped on its head by half time, with the Magpies going in 2-1 down.
Bruno Guimaraes levelled from the spot, but Dango Ouattara netted in the closing stages to ensure Brentford did the double over Newcastle this season. It leaves NUFC as close to the bottom three as they are the Champions League - it’s simply not good enough. And, the St James’ park crowd let the players and the manager know their thoughts at half and full time, with boos ringing around the stadium.
