Fulham 1-2 Everton: Post Match Player Ratings

The race for Europe is on for Everton as they left the capital with all three points as their fine away form continued at Craven Cottage.

Everton, who were fortunate to only be one goal down at half-time, were the better team in the second half, and left it late as they levelled through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Minutes later, the Blues took the lead through a Bernd Leno own goal and comfortably saw the game out. They now sit eighth in the league on 37 points.

Here are the player ratings from Fulham 1-2 Everton.

Starting 11:

Jordan Pickford – 7.5

A solid display from England’s number one as he produced key saves to keep the Blues in the game. Unlucky for the goal as his save deflected off Vitalii Mykolenko, but he pushed away a Samuel Chukwueze shot in the first half.

Jake O’Brien – 6.5

Almost scored in the opening ten minutes, as his header hit the bar. At times, the Irish international struggled to deal with Fulham’s left-hand side, but played a key role in the goal as he pressured Leno to punch it in his own net.

James Tarkowski – 6

Had a huge opportunity midway through the second half, where his header just went over the bar, but at times he seemed to be getting stretched as Fulham were finding space in behind Everton's back four.

Michael Keane – 6

Similar to Tarkowski, the 32-year-old handled the threat of Raul Jimenez well at times and could have done better at the start of the second half, as he had a half-chance for the Blues. Keane made seven clearances and won 2/2 tackles.

Vitalii Mykolenko- 7

Zero to hero for the left-back. Unfortunate for the own goal as the Ukraine international tried to block Jimenez’s shot.

Mykolenko did ever so well to burst past Joachim Anderson to find Dewsbury-Hall for the leveller.

Made a crucial sliding block to deny Jimenez from making it 2-0 and ending the contest.

Idrissa Gueye – 6

A difficult afternoon for Gueye, as at times the Everton midfield was run ragged. Gueye’s job in the first half was to protect Everton’s back line as Fulham dominated the opening 45.

Gueye made six recoveries and won three ground duels.

James Garner – 6.5

Improved as the game went on, Garner whipped in a couple of dangerous corners, which Everton almost scored from.

Garner’s defensive action stood out as he made three clearances and four recoveries as the midfielder battled throughout.

Harrison Armstrong – 6.5

Making his fifth start in a row in the Premier League, Armstrong almost brought Everton level, as he had a volley that flew just wide.

The 19-year-old originally started out on the left but then swapped with Iliman Ndiaye in the first half.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 8

The midfielder scored Everton’s leveller as he was on the receiving end of Mykolenko’s cross to strike past Leno.

The former Chelsea man crossed in the corner, which the German failed to deal with and punched in his own net.

Throughout the 90, the midfielder came close on a couple of occasions and looked like the man who would get the Blues back into it.

Iliman Ndiaye – 6

Another quiet afternoon for the Everton winger, with Ndiaye struggling to impose himself on the Fulham backline.

Ndiaye lost the ball 12 times but did make four progressive carries, showing glimpses of what he brings to Everton.

Defensively, the winger worked hard, winning three ground duels and two tackles.

Thierno Barry -6.5

On a couple of occasions, Barry came close to scoring with the forward heading wide from a James Garner corner and couldn’t reach Dewsbury-Hall's low cross, but Barry got himself about and showed good link-up play with his teammates.

Substitutes:

Beto – 6

The forward replaced Barry with around 20 minutes remaining and was a nuisance for the Fulham backline.

Tyrique George – 6

A bright cameo from the Chelsea loanee, who played the ball to Mykolenko, which led to Everton’s equaliser and showed at times how direct the winger can be.

Jarrad Branthwaite – 6

Brought on with five minutes remaining to see the game, Branthwaite won a header late on, which helped the Blues see out victory.

**Tim Iroegbunam**– N/A

The midfielder replaced Dewsbury-Hall in the 95th minute.
