Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has pledged to sponsor Kenya’s most famous Manchester United supporter, Kevin Masagara, on a dream trip to Old Trafford in England to watch the club play live.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Saturday, February 7, 2026, Jalang’o said it had been a long time since he last backed a fan in a major way and felt compelled to step in after learning Masagara had never watched Manchester United play in person.
The legislator congratulated Masagara on reaching one million followers on social media, hailing him as Kenya’s number one Manchester United fan and expressing surprise that such a passionate supporter had never visited the iconic Old Trafford Stadium.

“First, congratulations on hitting one million followers. Can you imagine Kevin Masagara has never been to Old Trafford? He has never watched Manchester United play live,” Jalang’o said.
“This time, we want to take Kevin Masagara to Manchester to watch Manchester United live. I’m telling you, it is possible.”
Jalang’o announced the initiative dubbed Masagara to Manchester, Old Trafford, Here We Come, which will document and support the journey from Kenya to England.
Although he revealed that he has never met Masagara in person, the MP said he plans to reach out and begin the necessary arrangements, including securing travel documents such as a passport and visa.
“I don’t know where we are going to start, but I am making Kevin Masagara’s dream of watching Manchester United at Old Trafford come true,” he said.
According to Jalang’o, the trip will go beyond matchday action and include a tour of the Manchester United Museum and other major landmarks around Manchester.
“Old Trafford, here we come. We'll visit the museum and explore Manchester. This dream must happen,” he added.
