A superb second-half showing from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall helped to earn Everton all three points against Fulham, but another player also really impressed.
David Moyes’ side came from behind once again to take points in the Premier League.

After rescuing draws against Leeds United and Fulham, Everton got a huge win over Fulham to keep their European hopes firmly alive.
And Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall produced a fine performance that featured a goal and an assist for the Toffees.
He’ll be taking most of the headlines from the game, but there was another standout player for Everton – and some very good news could await from in the not-too-distant future.
James Garner shone for Everton against Fulham

While Dewsbury-Hall will rightly lap up a lot of plaudits, James Garner also did very well against Fulham.
The midfielder was his usual tidy self on the ball, completing 41/46 (89%) passes (via Sofascore).

As per Fotmob, no player created more than his four chances. And only three Everton players supplied more than his seven passes into the final third.
Five of his six long balls were executed (83%).
And Garner was also excellent from a defensive standpoint – no player on the pitch made more than his 11 defensive contributions.
Everton fans have come to expect high level performances from Garner now. He’s having a great season, and many feel it cannot be long before he turns out in the white shirt of England.

Garner has to be close to an England call-up at this point, given how consistent he’s been for Everton.
Luckily for him, his latest display against Fulham came in front of the England manager Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel was at Villa Park recently when Garner shone for Everton.
He’s now watched him against Fulham, and he surely had to have liked what he saw. And probably Dewsbury-Hall too.
But Garner – who was recently hailed by Jamie Carragher as the first name on Everton’s team sheet – cannot have done his England prospects any harm whatsoever with his latest display, and hopefully we’ll see him named in that next squad in March.
