"He reminds me of Mo Salah" - Owen Hargreaves hails Manchester United star after win over Spurs

Former Premier League star Owen Hargreaves has heaped praise on Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo. He has compared the forward's finishing to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah after the win over Tottenham in the Premier League.

Speaking on TNT Sports after the game, Hargreaves praised Mbeumo for his goal against Tottenham, saying it was a brilliant finish. He added that the Manchester United star has an eye for goal, and it is helping the Red Devils, and said (via Metro):

"He’s 26, 27, he can deliver, he’s just got it. He is a great finisher, I said this a little earlier in the season but he reminds me of Mo Salah. He is a good finisher when he is in those areas, he doesn’t get too up and doesn’t get too down which I think is a brilliant attribute."

Hargreaves also heaped praise on midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, comparing him to club icon George Best. He claimed that the Englishman was showing his talent after the tough time under Ruben Amorim and said:

"I can’t believe how talented the kid is. This club is all about producing academy players and he is a fantastic one. He takes the ball at any point and you can pass it to him anywhere on the pitch and he looks like he’s playing the park with his mates. It’s a credit to him. He is so comfortable on the ball and he is so humble. He’s going to be a really special player."

Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes scored the goals as Manchester United eased to a 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday, February 7, in the Premier League. The Red Devils were given a helping hand by Cristian Romero, who got sent off in the first half when it was goalless.

Manchester United star comments on his Tottenham performance

Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo was delighted with his performance against Tottenham. He admitted the goal was a training ground routine, but it was the first time it worked. He said (via Yahoo):

"Yeah, it was, but it didn’t work out on the training ground. I put the ball over the fences each time. But yeah, today was the most important, and we’re really happy with the goal because it’s not an easy ball to hit. A lot of spin and the ball comes at Kobbie quite hard so I just try to keep it low. I didn’t try to put too much power into it like I did in training and I'm glad it worked out."

Manchester United face West Ham United before the players have a few days off, as they are out of the FA Cup, and next weekend is dedicated to cup games.
