Indeed, only a few hours after Nottingham Forest dropped points in the Premier League’s relegation battle, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side took full advantage.

On Saturday afternoon, West Ham beat Burnley 2-0 to move within three points of Sean Dyche’s side and top flight safety with only 13 games left to play.
It’s a major mental boost for the Irons, who have veered between looking like they may pull off a great escape and looking dead and buried at times this season.
Still, what’s about to come in the fixture schedule is slightly unfortunate.
Nottingham Forest have an easier next fixture than West Ham United
The fixture list has not been particularly kind to West Ham here.

On Tuesday, Nuno’s side host an in-form Manchester United who look to have been transformed under Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils have won four consecutive games and will head to the London Stadium full of confidence.
It’s going to be a very tough task for Nuno, while Dyche’s side face a very different prospect in the form of Wolves a day later.
With all due respect to Wolves, they are enduring one of the worst seasons in Premier League history and not many will back them to leave the City Ground with anything.

On paper, West Ham do face a much harder game.
However, their recent record at home against Manchester United is actually very positive indeed.
