Leeds United's players left the Elland Road pitch on Friday night with confidence high and their chances of survival in the Premier League looking much healthier.

Daniel Farke's team hadn't just beaten Nottingham Forest 3-1, they'd put in one of their better performances this season and done so when the pressure was on against a relegation rival.

The result did wonders for Leeds' position in the Premier League table, but also provided a significant shot in the arm on the confidence front. Leeds' players know when they are switched on they can mix it with the very best in this division, as we have already seen this season.

Which probably explains the confident reaction from James Justin, who was Leeds' standout defender against Forest on Friday night.

Ahead of facing top-four chasing Chelsea away from home on Tuesday night, Justin's response to Leeds' approach tells you everything you need to know about the mood in the changing room right now., with his "It is another chance to get points" verdict. No downplaying how tough the game will be against an in-form Chelsea on the road, no silly statement either, just a genuine air of confidence.

Speaking to Sky Sports about the win over Forest and the forthcoming Chelsea game, Justin said: "We put in the graft and that was the basis of this result, it was a great shift and a massive three points. There's something special about night games here.

"We'll be recovering for Tuesday. It is another chance to get points and a positive result to keep us ticking over in the table. We have ourselves in a positive position so far, but there are a lot of games left and a lot of points to play for.

"We're not afraid of anyone in this league and that's the way we like it. We compete in every game and give it our all and see what happens. Some of the football against Forest was the best we've played this season and to put in a performance like that was a big one."
