Trailing 1-0 at the interval after a goal from former loanee Morgan Rogers, Rayan netted his first goal for the club in his first start to equalise, and while Bournemouth were pushing, they could not find the winner.
The Daily Echo rates the Cherries players as the team extended their unbeaten run to five.

Djordje Petrovic: 7
A fantastic finish from Rogers beat the Serbian, but other than that he didn’t look particularly troubled at any stage and did make some good saves, a top fingertip save from Matty Cash in the second half the pick of them.
Adrien Truffert: 7
The left back was caught out of position for the Villa goal but the Frenchman was a threat and often involved on the left going forward, in a game where the Cherries did much of the attacking.
Marcos Senesi: 7
Senesi was solid, and was more influential in the second half with his passing range as the Cherries had more of the ball and were pressing more. Defensively, he and Hill were strong at centre back.

James Hill: 8
The Englishman continued his good recent form at centre back. Notched an assist for Rayan’s goal, although it was one where he was the one who played a fairly simple pass to the winger and he did much of the hard work. Hill showed good tenacity too at times in the second half, had one lapse of concentration which saw Ian Maatsen go in, but he tracked back and made a top challenge to make amends.
Alex Jimenez: 7
The game which saw the obligation to buy the Spaniard triggered, he looked bright as ever going forward. Involved in an altercation with Emi Buendia in the first half that saw him booked as tempers boiled over slightly, but played well until he was replaced.

Lewis Cook: 8
The two Cherries midfielders were excellent and gave the hosts a lot of control in the game. Cook led the team well and was an important part in a good Bournemouth performance.
Alex Scott: 9
My man of the match for a second game in a row – the Englishman is on top form. A central part of much of what was good for the Cherries going forward and he continues to make Bournemouth tick.

Amine Adli: 7
Adli is becoming more and more comfortable in the Premier League after a slightly slower adaptation to the league than others in the Cherries squad. But a run of games has seen him begin to impress more and more, and have more of an impact.
Junior Kroupi: 7
On another day, Kroupi could have had multiple goals. He had one chalked off for being just offside, and another cleared off the line. Showed his threat and caused problems for Villa.

Rayan: 8
A brilliant solo first goal for the Cherries. Beyond the goal, he looked a threat and looks like his adaptation to the league won’t take too long.
Evanilson: 7
The striker continues to be a key part to how the Cherries play and he produced a good performance – had a big chance when a Kroupi shot was saved by Martinez into his path, but I don’t think he could have done better with the bouncing ball on the up and he was left with only really one option and that was to head it, and he wasn’t able to beat the keeper.
