Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-1 by Leeds United on Sunday to leave Sean Dyche clinging to his job.
He might have done some gardening for Brian Clough as a youth player at Forest, but as a Premier League manager in 2026, Dyche is badly out of his depth.

Truly embarrassing!

On Friday night, Dyche failed to make any changes at half-time as the Reds trailed 2-0 and within four minutes of the restart, Leeds had a third.
Dyche now has to beat Wolves on Wednesday, and if he doesn’t, it seems certain that his tenure as the Forest manager will come to an end.

Nottingham Forest star slammed
There were a number of shocking performances for Forest against Leeds and Tim Sherwood has picked out Nikola Milenkovic.
The Serbian performer was paired with Morato for this game, with the Brazilian chosen to replace Murillo, who collected an injury in the build-up.
Milenkovic came in for some critique from Sherwood, and he felt that his leadership qualities were poor.

He said on Premier League Productions: “Milenkovic is an experienced player who’s ever-present. You know, last year as well, Murillo, the centre half partnership they had was fantastic Sels in goal. He has to be better.
“He’s the leader there. He’s the one who has to start organizing and push people around and he didn’t do that. I thought he was he was poor tonight. Not only for his own personal performance, but leadership qualities, what you look for someone to stand up and show, he didn’t show them tonight. And I thought they were poor.”
Milenkovic far from Forest’s problem
Milenkovic is far from the problem on Trentside, with Dyche’s style of play being a far bigger concern for the Reds.
The big defender wasn’t great against Leeds but he wasn’t alone in being so bad and he’s usually one of the Reds’ better players.
Who was the worst Nottingham Forest player vs Leeds?
Sherwood couldn’t wait to stick the boot in on Milenkovic and the hope will be that he can lead Forest to a win over Wolves.
Forest simply have to beat the bottom-placed club on Wednesday and if they don’t, there is a genuine chance that Dyche’s tenure as manager comes to an end.
