Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Cole Palmer and now captain Bruno Fernandes has added fuel to the fire.
It is public knowledge that Cole Palmer is a boyhood Manchester United fan, and so it is only natural for people to speculate about him playing at Old Trafford.
Especially after reports that Palmer is unsettled at Chelsea and wants to move back up North.

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior tried to shut down Palmer rumours by suggesting that the playmaker will stay put at Stamford Bridge, but now Bruno Fernandes has cheekily sparked the rumours back into circulation.

Bruno Fernandes sends message to Cole Palmer
Like United, Chelsea are also enjoying a strong run of form in the Premier League since a change of manager.
The Blues beat Wolves 3-1 on Saturday to stay within one point of the Red Devils in the table. Despite Chelsea and Cole Palmer being rivals for Champions League qualification this season, Fernandes couldn’t help but acknowledge his talent on social media.
On Instagram, Palmer made a post captioned “just enjoy” after Chelsea’s win over Wolves. Fernandes was spotted in the replies, commenting: “What a player”.

Cole Palmer is tipped to be Bruno Fernandes’ replacement
In the summer, Fernandes rejected a big-money Saudi move, but the Portuguese playmaker continues to be linked with an exit in the near future.
Fernandes’ contract is valid until 2027 so Ineos are under pressure to either cash in or discuss fresh terms with the 31-year-old.

If it is decided that he can leave, Palmer could replace Fernandes at United as the new star playmaker of the side.
But many will agree that Fernandes is irreplaceable for what he does for United both on and off the pitch. He is ageing like fine wine at Old Trafford and Ineos should be doing everything possible to keep him at the club beyond 2026.
