Michael Carrick has taken Manchester United to a new level since taking charge from Ruben Amorim this season.
A 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday afternoon means Manchester United have won four games in a row in the Premier League since Michael Carrick’s appointment as interim head coach.
That is a feat that was never achieved by Ruben Amorim and his staff across their 14-month stint in charge of the Red Devils.

There were some positives about Amorim’s time at United, though, including a spectacular set-piece record.
Amorim quickly identified how physically demanding the Premier League was, and he turned United into set-piece powerhouses. Carrick has taken that to a new level.

Michael Carrick’s staff excelling at set-pieces
Amorim’s assistant coach Carlos Fernandes was in charge of set pieces for the past 14 months, and he made some serious improvements in both boxes.
There were a few concerns among the United fan base that the set-piece threat might drop slightly under Carrick with Fernandes also leaving the club, but that has not proven to be the case.
