Viviane Asseyi hit a dramatic 91st-minute winner as West Ham scored three times in nine second-half minutes to beat visitors Brighton 3-2 in the Women's Super League.

With eight minutes remaining, the Hammers were trailing thanks to goals from Kiko Seike and Manuela Vanegas.

But Ffion Morgan set in a motion the hosts' stunning comeback in the 82nd minute when her wayward cross deceived Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and ended up in the back of the net.

Nnadozie was at fault again for West Ham's equaliser, four minutes later, as she came off her line to clear the ball straight against Shekiera Martinez, who finished into an open goal.

Hammers captain Asseyi then struck the winner in second-half stoppage time after a scrap inside the box.

Rita Guarino's side are 10th on the table - two points clear of now bottom Leicester City, who have a game in hand, and one above 11th-placed Liverpool, who won 4-1 against Aston Villa.

Brighton, meanwhile, remain seventh with 17 points from 15 games.
