David Moyes has done a truly remarkable job since returning to Everton for a second spell just over a year ago.
Everton’s 2-1 win against Fulham has moved them to within a couple of points of the Europa League spots.
This time last year, the Toffees were focused on avoiding relegation, so it amplifies how well the Scotsman has done.
Give us your gut feeling… will Everton make it into Europe? 🌍

Former World Champion boxer and avid Everton supporter Tony Bellew was keen to heap praise on Moyes on talkSPORT after the Fulham win.
David Moyes is excelling despite Everton’s small squad
Bellew made a great point on talkSPORT that Moyes is actually excelling with one of the smallest squads in the Premier League.
Despite several key injuries this season and contending with a lack of depth, the Everton boss has still managed to get his side in contention for Europe.
“What David Moyes is doing is fantastic,” the 43-year-old stated.

“He’s not spent shedloads of money. He’s had so many players in and out the door, it’s unbelievable.
“He’s actually got the smallest squad in the Premier League and what he’s achieving is remarkable, and I wish you pundits would put more respect on his name.”
Interestingly, only Arsenal, Fulham, West Ham United and Wolves have a smaller squad than the Toffees.

David Moyes deserves more credit
Bellew is right to call out sections of the media, as Moyes isn’t given nearly as much credit as he deserves.
If you look at where West Ham find themselves post Moyes, it amplifies even further what a brilliant manager he is.

The 62-year-old is often criticised for his team selections or his pragmatic style at times, but he clearly knows what he’s doing.
Everton are actually sixth in the Premier League table across Moyes’ 44 games since returning in January 2025.
He’s turned the Toffees into genuine European challengers, all whilst dealing with injuries to Jarrad Branthwaite, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish, only to name a few.
