Nuno makes Pablo prediction after Taty Castellanos scores first Premier League goal for West Ham

Taty Castellanos opened his Premier League account for West Ham United on Saturday.

The Argentine, who was signed during the January transfer window, had previously scored for West Ham United – although that was in the FA Cup against QPR.

On Saturday, however, Castellanos bagged his first Premier League goal in claret and blue as he scored in West Ham’s 2-0 win over Burnley.

It capped off an impressive performance, with Taty partnering Callum Wilson up front having previously only largely played well with fellow new arrival Pablo Felipe.

Serious question – are you taking a peak Mateus Fernandes or a peak Lucas Paqueta in your dream midfield?!

Pablo did come off the bench at Turf Moor but could not get in on the act.

While both Pablo and Taty have impressed some of their West Ham teammates, it’s the former who is still waiting for his first goal.

Nuno Espirito Santo, however, seems to spot one coming over the horizon.

Nuno thinks Pablo Felipe will score his first goal for West Ham soon

The West Ham head coach was speaking during his post-match press conference.

Nuno hailed his attacking talent after Taty scored, while Wilson’s record at Premier League level does not need much explaining.

The same goes for Jarrod Bowen, while Crysencio Summerville is on fire right now and just scored in his fifth consecutive game.

Pablo has played well for West Ham without scoring but Nuno does believe a goal will be coming for him.

“Today, Taty scored and it’s important that our strikers score,” he said.

“The other [week] it was Callum. Pablo helping and the goal will come.”

Pablo Felipe has something to think about at West Ham now

So much has been made about Pablo and Taty helping West Ham improve their ability to press off the ball.

In all honesty, it did seem like the two looked set to start pretty much every game from here on in as Nuno looks to steer his side away from the relegation battle.

However, the fact that Wilson and Taty linked up together should give Nuno food for thought.

West Ham fans have delivered a mixed verdict on Pablo so far and perhaps he now faces a fight to get back into the team.
