Everton welcome Bournemouth to the Hill-Dickinson Stadium for a Premier League clash this Tuesday.
Everton are currently in 8th place and could leapfrog local rivals Liverpool with a win here. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are in 11th, and a win would put them level on points with Everton - although they'll need a four goal swing to climb above them.
So who will win out on Merseyside this week?
Everton vs Bournemouth Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
This will, of course, be Bournemouth's first visit to the Hill-Dickinson Stadium. Earlier in the season, Everton beat the Cherries 0-1, although it was their first win over them since October 2023.
Everton will come into this match buoyed by some strong recent results, most notably their late win over Fulham on Saturday. The Toffees are now unbeaten in four league matches.
Bournemouth were able to secure a point this Saturday against high flying Aston Villa, although they arguably deserved to win the match. The draw means they are also unbeaten in four coming into this one.
Everton have become masters of the late goal in recent weeks. Not only have their last five league goals come in the second half, but their last four have come past the 75 minute mark.
Bournemouth's away record this season leaves a lot to be desired. They have only won two of their 12 away matches this season, beating Tottenham back in August and Wolves in late January. They have also lost five games on the road, and have conceded 30 of their 44 goals away.
Everton vs Bournemouth Prediction
Given Bournemouth's poor away record this season and Everton's good run of form in recent weeks, this game looks like a good one for David Moyes' side right now.
However, Bournemouth did look very dangerous against Aston Villa, with attackers like Rayan and Eli Kroupi offering a big threat. It will be difficult for Everton to keep them quiet.
With that said, Bournemouth's high-energy style may be hard to replicate with such a short period of time between games, and so the prediction is a home win - with Everton likely picking off the Cherries on the break.
Prediction: Everton 1-0 Bournemouth
