Albion told they lacked firepower by Match Of The Day expert

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart said the visitors were comfortable at the back in their 1-0 success.

He spoke on BBC TV’s Match Of The Day after it was highlighted that the Seagulls had 63% of possession but only 13 touches in the Palace penalty area.

Hart said: “Possession's great if you're building towards something.

“I think it's being thrown around a lot with Brighton at the moment, losing a little bit of identity.

“What were they trying to do today? And think Palace just felt so comfortable in the game, they felt so comfortable in that back three with the two screening.

“And they almost said, ‘Take as much possession as you want, because when we do turn the ball over, we're going to hurt you’.

“And they scored a really good goal off the back of it.

“As a club, you kind of associate them with bringing people to the Premier League, them excelling, and then moving them on. Be it a manager or be it a player.

“But as a team, not really. Mitoma, we've seen him like the Premier League up.

“He's not really having his influence up front. There's just no real firepower.”
