Chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” and “we want Parker out” could be heard loud and clear, as Burnley made it 16 league games without a win.
While Parker understands the level of frustrations among supporters, he also questioned if such an atmosphere is conducive to a positive result and performance.
“The only way in this world that you can turn that around and the only way in what we do is by winning,” he said.
“That's the world we're in. Football has become like that, hasn't it? A little bit that, you know, if your team concedes a goal, you're going to boo.
“I understand their frustration. I totally understand it. But I just didn't think that that helped this young group at times.

“They're guys that are absolutely giving everything. It was tough for them. When you're hearing the level of criticism, it obviously affects us.
“Like I said, I thought that affected us a little bit today. But we need to blur that out a little bit and we need to try and win to change that around.
“That's a challenge, because when you're in the Premier League, that's a challenge. But that's what we're endeavouring to do.”

Parker added: “Obviously disappointed and deflated is probably the word.
“I thought overall today, certainly in the first half, we looked fragile. I thought we looked edgy. There's obviously a lack confidence at the moment in us.
“Just the whole environment today at certain moments was testing for the players. And I thought you could sense that certainly in the first half. I think they have two shots on target and they score both.
“In that moment, the stadium obviously becomes a little bit edgy as well and I think that reflected a little bit on the players.
"Second half, we come out and we try and impose ourselves a little bit and we just didn't manage the chances that we created. We just didn't manage to get one in that maybe would have just given us that spring ball today.
"Then it's fair to say that maybe the game just pitted us out a little bit and they see the game out.”
