Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick has dropped his injury update on Mason Mount and another key player ahead of the Premier League match against West Ham.

Manchester United welcomed Tottenham to Old Trafford and the Red Devils produced another strong showing against Thomas Frank’s struggling side.
Cristian Romero was dismissed in the opening 30 minutes for Spurs on Saturday afternoon before Man Utd broke the deadlock against Tottenham ahead of half-time.
Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo linked up from a United set-piece before the ball was played to Bryan Mbeumo, who opened the scoring in the 38th minute.
United maintained their lead over Tottenham in the second half and the Red Devils put the Premier League match to bed after Bruno Fernandes superbly scored.

Michael Carrick shares news on Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt ahead of Man Utd’s Premier League away clash against West Ham
Michael Carrick held his pre-match press conference for the West Ham match after Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The United legend revealed that Mason Mount would be unlikely to feature against West Ham, but Carrick now laid out a timeline for the Red Devils No 7’s return.

“Mason will probably not [be available] for Tuesday, probably after, but definitely going into the Everton game, he’ll be back,” Carrick said, as per Manchester United’s official YouTube channel.
Mason Mount might have a view of returning soon for the Red Devils, but Carrick was unable to say the same for long-term injury absentee Matthijs de Ligt.
“Matthijs, we’ll see how he develops; the Everton game feels like a long time away at the moment,” Carrick added.
“So, we’ll see how he develops, but he’s positive, he’s moving in the right direction, but Mason’s a little bit closer than him.”

The Red Devils’ form was nothing short of erratic under Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 season before the former United manager was sacked by the club last month.
However, four Premier League wins in four have put United in a rich vein of form and the Red Devils are now strong favourites to finish inside the top four.
Fourth-place Man Utd and 18th-place West Ham will clash at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening, with the Premier League kick-off slated for 8:15pm UK time.
