Andoni Iraola makes 'uncomfortable' Everton claim as David Moyes prepares to welcome Bournemouth

Everton are looking to build on their win over Fulham with Bournemouth next up for the Toffees.

The 2-1 win at Craven Cottage was huge, with Everton again showing good character to come from behind.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall really stepped up in the second-half, first getting Everton back on level terms before forcing an own goal from Bernd Leno.

Everton now sit eighth, and have a genuine shot at sealing qualification for a European competition next season.

What will be extremely key for the Toffees though is to be strong at home – something Everton have not been recently.

Ahead of the game, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has given his thoughts on facing Everton and David Moyes.

Everton could jump into sixth place in the table with a win over Bournemouth, and leapfrog Liverpool in the process.

But obviously we have seen Everton struggle at the Hill Dickinson Stadium recently, so the Toffees will have to work hard to move up the table.

Everton did beat Bournemouth in the reverse fixture, but the Cherries have won eight of the last 11 meetings.

That said, Andoni Iraola has praised Everton ahead of the game.

The Bournemouth Echo have covered his press conference this morning, with Iraola saying: “Everton have a good squad and Moyes is a great manager. He has shown it again this season and they are in a good run of results. It’s going to be challenging with two away games in a row.

“Everton are an uncomfortable team to play against. It’s unlikely they’ll have the same starting XI to the game against Villa after such a big effort and they are focusing on recovery today.”

Everton must make Fulham win count for something

It was brilliant to see Everton come back against Fulham and take three more big points away from home.

The Toffees have to make that result count for something now, with Bournemouth coming to the Hill Dickinson.

Everton have had the jitters at home recently and Moyes could really do with his side winning this game so that this doesn’t become something of a psychological hurdle.

Bournemouth have had Everton’s number fairly often in recent years. But the squad Moyes has is more than capable of squashing the Cherries tomorrow night.
