David Moyes makes interesting Hill Dickinson Stadium claim when asked about Everton's home form

Everton manager David Moyes had his pre-match Bournemouth press conference on Monday afternoon.

After Everton’s win at Fulham on the weekend, it’s a quick turnaround to the next fixture against Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

The Toffees are aiming for Europe this season, and a win tomorrow evening could see them move into the top seven.

David Moyes makes interesting suggestion on why Everton have struggled at home

Speaking to the media on Monday, Moyes made a very interesting suggestion about why the Toffees have been better away from home than at home.

The Scotsman appeared to indicate that the opposition are really enjoying playing at the new 52,000-seater stadium, which is a lot more inviting than Goodison Park.

“Obviously we’re always looking to see what it may well be if it was anything,” the Everton manager stated.

“We’ve got a great new stadium, we’re going to be there for a long long time. The sooner we start getting used to it, the better.

“Everybody enjoys it, we do, but maybe the opposition quite enjoys it, too.”

He continued: “I think other clubs are quite enjoying it coming to the stadium…new stadium. But we have to turn that into a bit more like Goodison and in a place where we feel we can win more games than we have at the moment, so let’s hope we can do it.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall said Everton have to be more aggressive at homeK

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall think he knows why Everton have struggled at home, and he puts it down to a lack of aggression.

Speaking after the Leeds draw last month, Dewsbury-Hall explained: “It doesn’t take a lot for it to become loud and for fans to get off their feet. It might only take one tackle, one press. And I think us lads just need to remember that in the back of our head.

Anyone remember when he failed to award Everton a penalty vs United last season? 🫣

Andy Madley.

“We don’t need to be playing silky football or completely dominating teams, it’s being in people’s faces, getting aggressive, getting the crowd up and then playing football and showing what we’re about.

“So, yes, I think if we start doing that more in the next couple of home games, we’re going to pick up better results.”

The Toffees have the chance to do the double over Bournemouth tomorrow evening, having won 1-0 on the South Coast in December.
