Crystal Palace are one of a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a potential bargain summer move for Bournemouth defender Marco Senesi, according to Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale.
It might have been expected that the Eagles would act in the remainder of the January transfer window after Marc Guehi left to join Manchester City, but the deadline passed without the south London bringing in a new centre-back.
While Brennan Johnson, Evann Guessand and Jorgen Strand Larsen arrived to bolster Oliver Glasner's attack, the Austrian has been left to pick from Maxence Lacroix, Chris Richards and Jaydee Canvot at centre-back.
On Sunday, Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma started out of position there in the 1-0 win against arch-rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
Three Premier League Clubs 'Most Interested' in Senesi

While the Argentina defender found regular first-team minutes harder to come by at Bournemouth last term thanks to the performances of Dean Huijsen, the 28-year-old has come to the fore at the Vitality Stadium this season following the exit of the Spain international to Real Madrid.
Despite that, Senesi's contract runs out at the end of the season and he is said to have turned down multiple offers from the Cherries to remain on the south coast.
Along with Crystal Palace, Everton and Chelsea are said to be the 'most interested' English clubs in the Argentine according to Di Natale, posting on X, with GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs revealing that the west London club have discussed moving for him.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is hopeful that the defender will stay despite the impasse in negotiations, while the player will know this could be one of his last chances to secure a move to a big club in his career.
Iraola's future itself is still uncertain, despite Bournemouth president of football operations Tiago Pinto exclusively telling GIVEMESPORT that they want the Spaniard to stay beyond the expiry of his contract this summer.
Is Senesi Good Enough to Replace Guehi?

What is an immediate bonus with Senesi is that he does have that Premier League experience, which might not be the case if Palace decide to shop abroad in the summer.
That isn't always a bad thing, as seen by how well Lacroix for example has adapted to English football, but the Bournemouth defender is a seasoned performer at this level now and he has also played in Europe too.
GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT if Senesi would be a good replacement for Guehi at Selhurst Park, and this was its response.
Style of play: Senesi is left-footed, progressive, and aggressive stepping into midfield, which suits Palace’s build-up under a possession-leaning approach. However, he’s less composed in isolation than Guehi and can be rash defending space in transition.
Team philosophy: If Palace continue emphasizing structured buildup and higher defensive lines, Senesi’s passing range and comfort under pressure fit. Guehi, though, offers superior leadership and tactical discipline within a compact block.
Overall ability: Senesi brings Premier League experience and physicality, but Guehi’s consistency, recovery pace, and decision-making at elite level set a higher benchmark.
