The 37-year-old is out of contract in the summer, so Everton will likely appoint a new captain at the end of the season.
With that said, Everton News columnist Alan Myers has tipped one Toffees star to be the next skipper.

In Myers’ exclusive Everton News column, the journalist admitted he can see Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall becoming Everton captain.
“I must also mention this week how great it is to see the return of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from injury,” Myers wrote.

“I think out of all the players that have been injured in the last few months he was the biggest miss. He makes so many things happen and his experience within a game is a real asset for David Moyes.
“I see a future Everton captain in Dewsbury-Hall and at just 27 years of age that’s a great prospect as the club look to build a squad with younger exciting players. That rebuild is in its infancy but KDH will play a major part in it I’m sure.”

Fellaini netted nine across all competitions in the 2008/09 campaign, so Dewsbury-Hall is only four behind matching that tally with plenty of games to go.
The 26-year-old has netted five goals whilst laying on four assists so far this term, which is a commendable tally, especially given he missed a portion of the season through injury.
