**Jack Grealish admits he is ‘gutted’ after his Everton spell was curtailed.**
Grealish had been an integral figure for David Moyes’ side since joining on a season-long loan from Manchester City, making 22 appearances overall.
But the England international is currently [sidelined with a foot stress fracture](https://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/everton-fc/63340-jack-grealish-set-to-miss-rest-of-everton-loan/) which flared up in the aftermath of the Blues’ win over Aston Villa last month.
He underwent corrective surgery on Monday which has ended hopes of making Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the World Cup in North America.
“Didn’t want the season to end like this but that’s football, gutted,” Grealish wrote on Instagram.
“Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.
“The support I’ve had since coming to this unbelievable club has meant the world to me.
“The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible and I absolutely love representing this club.
“I’ll be backing the lads all the way and doing everything I can to get back as soon as possible. Thank you again for all the love, it means so much. UTFT.”
