In this day and age, it’s rare to recruit a player as good as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for under £30m, but Everton have done just that.
Dewsbury-Hall was a fringe player at Chelsea, but he’s now become a talisman for the Toffees and is actually in contention for an England call-up.

“To be an Everton fan and to go away this year must be exciting because you know it’s going to be a game where we’ve got a good chance of winning.
“So, credit to the fans, they do help us. Even today when we were losing, you could hear them shouting and screaming, so it’s always nice when you can turn that into the celebrations.”
Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca not surprised by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s form
Speaking earlier this season, former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who sold Dewsbury-Hall, admitted he isn’t surprised one bit by his form since joining Everton.
“I didn’t have any doubt about Kiernan,” Maresca stated.
“The more he plays, he is going to be better. But he was good for us. But there was a big competition for him.”
There is speculation that Dewsbury-Hall could become Everton captain when Seamus Coleman decides to retire.
So, quite clearly, the signing has been a roaring success and considering his age, he still has room to get even better.
