As part of our Lunar New Year celebrations, we have unveiled a special edition pre-match top designed by a Chinese artist to mark the Year of the Horse.
The shirt, unveiled in collaboration with NIKE, will be worn by our Men’s First-Team in the warm-up for this evening’s fixture against Newcastle and by our Women’s First-Team in the warm-up against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Lunar New Year is celebrated across east and southeast Asia on Tuesday 17 February. The horse, this year’s zodiac symbol, represents freedom, energy and determination, with the shirt design embodying those values alongside nods to the Club’s identity.
In the style of traditional line drawing, the intricate mane patterns across the shirt echo the motion of a horse in full sprint and symbolise its raw energy and momentum.
A large silhouette of our iconic club crest features on the back, with sponsor logos brought to the fore on the front of the shirt in a striking gold hue.
There are four subtle ‘Easter Eggs’ hidden within the design honouring the history of the Club, including outlines of the THFC Monogram and the text ‘N17’ – representing the Club’s North London postcode. A QR code is also featured on the shirt that links to exclusive video content.
