Bruno Guimaraes issues emotional rallying call as Newcastle United look to reboot

Bruno Guimaraes has issued an emotional rallying call, as Newcastle United look to reboot.

Having lost three games in a row for the first time since December 2023, the Newcastle United talisman not holding back.

Bruno Guimaraes using his own personal social media to put out the message: “Delighted to be back [for the Brentford match] almost three weeks after my last injury. I know, and we all know, our responsibility as players, and that things are not happening the way we would like.”

The defeats to Liverpool, Manchester City and Brentford having hit everybody hard.

A tough schedule of matches at the moment, in a punishing season of playing every midweek as well as weekends.

Bruno Guimaraes spelling things out: “I believe that in these four years together, this is the first time we are going through a real dip in form. We have to work harder, because difficult moments are always opportunities for us to become better than we have ever been.”

Eddie Howe, Bruno Guimaraes and the rest of the Newcastle United players, have shown time and time again that they have the quality and strength of character to bounce back.

The Brazil international declaring: “There is still a lot ahead of us, but we are certain that inside our club, no one will let go of anyone, and we will give everything to enjoy better days.”

As always in football, only one way to silence negativity and that is by winning football matches.

If the team is winning then it is always the same, nothing else matters.

A win at Spurs tonight is desperately needed.

Bruno Guimaraes was clearly still not 100% after his ankle injury but still one of United’s best players as his desire carried him through, in a difficult match, where Brentford played well.

A fully fit Bruno against Spurs could well be key in him helping to carry his team over the line, to get a much needed victory that can start the reboot.
