Newcastle United need a big reaction from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Brentford at St James’ Park.
Three consecutive Premier League defeats has seen the Magpies slip down to 12th in the table, 10 points below the top five and the same number of points above the relegation zone with 13 matches left to play.
Eddie Howe’s side next visit Tottenham Hotspur, who are also struggling this campaign by sitting 15th, four points below tonight’s visitors. Like Howe, Spurs boss Thomas Frank has also come under increased pressure.
The two sides have already met twice this season, both at St James’ Park as Newcastle won 2-0 in the Carabao Cup before being held to a 2-2 draw in December’s Premier League meeting after Cristian Romero scored a late equaliser.
