Adilson Malanda (Middlesbrough)
Poise on the ball, comfort in possession and imposing in his defensive work at Bramall Lane. The ex-MLS man continues to look the part.
Luke Ayling (Middlesbrough)
Relished his duel with ex-Leeds team-mate Patrick Bamford and showed leadership and organisation and also stepped out of defence superbly. Another fine performance in a fine season.

Midfield
Emmerson Sutton (Harrogate Town)
Scored a superb individual goal as Town won for the first time in 21 league matches.
Ilia Greuv (Leeds United)
Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough)
Another elegant display from a player who will be in the Premier League, come what may in August.
Riley McGree (Middlesbrough)
Caused the Blades no end of problems in the first half in particular and scored the killer second goal.
Attackers
Scott Banks (Barnsley)
Two assists at Bolton and is looking a very useful loan signing.
Patrick Bamford (Sheffield United)
A surprise name in the United line-up after shrugging off injury. Scored an excellently-taken goal against his old club to get the hosts back into it.
Noah Okafor (Leeds United)
One of umpteen Leeds players to excel against Forest. A big goal too.
Manager/head coach: Kim Hellberg (Middlesbrough)
