Simon Jordan sends brutal three-word message to Sandro Tonali's agent and slams Newcastle chief

Simon Jordan has taken aim at both Sandro Tonali's agent and Newcastle United chief executive David Hopkinson in an amazing rant on Talksport.

Tonali emerged as the big talking point on deadline day in the January transfer window, after reports surfaced that Arsenalhttps://www.givemesport.com/db/sports-team/arsenal/ were going to make a last-ditch big-money move to sign the midfielder.

Those reports were quickly quashed, with Tonali remaining at St James' Park, but since then reports have suggested that Arsenal will return with an offer in the summer, while Manchester United have also put the Italian towards the top of their summer midfielder wishlist.

Sandro Tonali's Agent Talks Up Move Away From Newcastle

Tonali's agent Giuseppe Riso has done little to quell the rumours that his client could be on the move in the summer transfer window, saying: "Newcastle are having a hard time letting go of Sandro, and he wants to lead the club to the Champions League.

"These transfer discussions will take place later. We’ll see how the season ends and then we’ll decide what to do.

"We’ll evaluate and decide what to do in the summer.”

Magpies chief executive Hopkinson told Talksport that he "didn't know" if it was true that Tonali was offered to Arsenal and former Crystal Palace owner Jordan was not impressed.

Newcastle Told To Be More Decisive In Transfer Talk

St James' Park

Speaking on Talksport, Jordan first laid into Riso and then questioned Hopkinson's handling of the debacle.

He said: "I would say to him [Riso] you've got a contract that looks like you're staying with us until 2029 so shut your face, pack it in.

"I'd also want to be answering the question [Hopkinson got about whether the offer was true] a little bit more comprehensively about who was offering who to whom, because it's not a case of you don't know. The agent seemed to be indicating that Newcastle or some guise of Newcastle was offering a player to Arsenal.

"If I'm the chief executive of that business I would know that, wouldn't I? I wouldn't say I didn't know because I'm damn sure it's not Eddie Howe offering it to him and I'm pretty sure if it's not the chief executive who could it possibly be?

Simon Jordan Lambasts Sandro Tonali's Agent

"Now the agent might be offering the player, but that's not his gift, the agent can't offer anybody to anybody, his registration is with Newcastle. Newcastle look like they've got him under contract until 2029. It's 2026. Why would the agent feel that he has one single scintilla of a mandate to offer a cup of coffee, let alone him to another football club?"

Tonali's future will once again be under the microsope in the summer transfer window, given Newcastle's poor form this season and the unlikelihood of the Magpies qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next year.
