Joe Cole has been talking about Newcastle United.
The former Liverpool and England winger with a couple of big NUFC predictions.
Joe Cole looking at this match in North London tonight.
He is backing Eddie Howe’s team to not only win this match but also keep a clean sheet.
This after Newcastle United losing their last three games and conceding ten goals.
Joe Cole explaining: “Spurs have only won twice at home in the Premier League this season and they come into this game in 15th in the table. Tottenham desperately need a win but I think this might be the end of the road for Thomas Frank. I can see Newcastle winning this without conceding.”
Here’s hoping Joe Cole is proved correct tonight.
Joe Cole has also commented on the Newcastle United Head Coach, telling Paddy Power: “I don’t agree with Eddie Howe being under pressure. There’s enough body of work in the background, and people forget he’s in the next round of the Champions League too. I don’t think he should be under pressure at all. The people at Newcastle are trying to do things within the parameters they’ve been set out with. Things do need to pick up, but he’s miles away from a sacking ever coming into discussion.”
Ahead of this Spurs match, other pundits such as Chris Sutton at BBC Sport have also been keen to back Eddie Howe.
Joe Cole also adding: “Eddie Howe’s quotes from his [pre Spurs match] press conference, where he says ‘I need to think long and hard about me’, ‘I need to work better and do more to work out solutions’. What Eddie has done there is take the pressure off his team, because he still believes in his team, and I do as well. I think this could be the end of the road for Thomas Frank and it’ll be another loss at home for Spurs.”
Again, here’s hoping Joe Cole is proved correct tonight.
