The UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final play-offs begin with a trip to OH Leuven on Wednesday, February 11 (5.45pm UK time).
We’ll be hoping for a similar performance and result to our last trip to Leuven ahead of next week’s second leg at Meadwo Park in Borehamwood.
Our last outing in Europe was for that 3-0 win at Den Dreef by way of goals from Olivia Smith, Beth Mead, and a Saar Janssen own goal.

renée's preview
Slegers: “I think what will be important for them is to defend really well against us, but that will be just as important for us as well because I'm sure they will try and create things with fast attacks, with counter-attacks and we all want to stop that.
"We respect who they are and they’re leading the table in Belgium and had a good performance in Champions League. So even though we came away with a 3-0 win here last time, we're very humble for the challenge tomorrow.” - read every word of Renée’s pre-OH Leuven press conference.

facts and stats
The only previous meeting between a Belgian team and an English team in the Champions League came on the final matchday of this season’s league phase, with us winning 3-0 away to Leuven. We had 11 shots on target in that win without facing a single one ourselves.
Leuven won the fewest games (1) and scored the fewest goals (5) of any team to reach the knockout stage of this season’s Champions League – their sole win and three of their goals did come at home however, beating Twente 2-1 and drawing 1-1 with Roma before a MD6 loss to us.
We finished the Champions League group stage on the longest winning run of any side, winning our last three matches and keeping a clean sheet in the last two; we haven’t won three matches in a row to nil in the competition since 2009/10 (4 in a row).
Leuven (24y 129d) have named the second youngest starting lineups on average in this season’s Champions League, while we have named the second oldest (27y 280d), behind only Juventus (28y 206d).
Alessia Russo has scored four goals in the 2025/26 Champions League with all four being first time finishes, the most of any player to see 100% of their goals come from first time shots. No player has more goal involvements in the competition than her since the start of last season (15 – 11 goals and 4 assists, level with Clàudia Pina).
