**Man United**dropped points for the first time under Michael Carrick, with a point saved at the death by Benjamin Sesko.
The first half was cagey, with West Ham on top for the first 20 minutes. Luke Shaw went close from a corner and Amad had the only other chance of the first half for the Red Devils. Both teams defended well but neither had a clear breakthrough.
West Ham found the breakthrough just after half-time, with Tomas Soucek getting on the end of a well timed Jarrod Bowen cross. The goal should have been dealt with better, and United would regret it, having the majority of the ball for the rest of the second half but not finding a breakthrough.
Benjamin Sesko pulled one back for United in the 95th minute, somewhat against the run of play, and the points were shared. A poor performance from the Red Devils was saved by a great finish from the Slovenian.
Senne Lammens - 6
A brilliant save from a Crysencio Summerville shot in the first 15 minutes, Lammens did not have much to do for the rest of the first half. The Belgian also denied Callum Wilson with a superb one on one save late on, but that would be all he had to deal with this evening.
Diogo Dalot - 4
Dalot struggled with Summerville throughout the first half, with the Dutchman getting past him countless times on both the inside and the outside, and looked the most dangerous player on the pitch. The booking he picked up in the second half after a poor challenge on Summerville showed this more than ever, with the Portugal international having a tough evening.
Harry Maguire - 6
Maguire, as well as most of the defence, looked solid in the first half despite not having much to deal with. The Englishman put in some strong challenges and kept the Hammers at bay. Maguire went off just under the 70 minute mark due to an injury, but it looked to just be a precaution from Michael Carrick.
Lisandro Martinez - 5
Keeping the West Ham forward line at bay in the first half, Martinez tried to get a United attack started through some pinpoint forward passes. However, West Ham's goal was a mix up between himself and Kobbie Mainoo, as the Irons opened the scoring.
Luke Shaw - 5
Luke Shaw had United's best chance of the first half going close from a corner and requiring a goal line clearance from Aaron Wan-Bissaka. A handful of overlapping runs also helped get the Red Devils up the pitch.
However, the England international looked at fault for West Ham's first goal, coming out of position and allowing Jarrod Bowen time and space for his assist, dragging United's defensive shape out in the process. His attacking threat was there, but it was an average performance from the left back.
Casemiro - 6
Probably Man United's best player in the first half, Casemiro was integral to not allowing West Ham to move up the pitch. Stepping up when needed and winning most of his duals, he was sat marauding the defence as he usually did.
Putting the ball into the back of the net, the Brazilian looked to be the bright spark in a poor United side. A handful of runs in behind in the last ten minutes tried to find an opening, but to no avail.
Kobbie Mainoo - 5
Kobbie Mainoo looked his usual composed self but, much like the majority of United's attacking players, struggled to create anything of note. His marker, Tomas Soucek, lost him for the opening goal of the game, so it was not a stellar performance from the young Englishman. A handful of strong passes from Mainoo helped create the equaliser.
Bruno Fernandes - 5
Not looking his usual self, Fernandes struggled to break down the West Ham defence with his forward passes.
Struggling to get into the game in the second half, the skipper found it hard to create any clear cut chances for the forward line. Failing to dictate play as much as he usually does, it is clear that Man United tend to perform worse when Fernandes has an off day such as today.
Amad Diallo - 4
Going close in the first half, Amad had to switch sides to try and get on the ball, as Malick Diouf looked to have kept the Ivorian quiet. Diallo was slow in his build-up play and found it hard to get on the ball throughout the game. Despite his end product being poor, the winger was defensively solid, helping Shaw out in dealing with Jarrod Bowen.
Matheus Cunha - 4
Most of the Man United attack came through the left hand side in the opening 45 minutes, yet Cunha struggled to do much with it. The Brazilian found it difficult to break down West Ham's low block, but he was not alone in that fact. Looking invisible in the second half, Cunha was taken off for Benjamin Sesko just before the 70 minute mark.
Bryan Mbeumo - 5
Mbeumo was playing the most central of the front three, yet the Cameroonian also failed to get a sight of goal. United's top scorer was closely marked by West Ham's centre back partnership and failed to get a shot on target in the first half. Further struggles continued into the second half, as Mbeumo couldn't break down the low block, until a good ball for Sesko's winner, albeit it was behind the big Slovenian.
Substitutes:
Leny Yoro - 6
Yoro came on just before the 70th minute, and dealt with Callum Wilson and Adama Traore's late runs well, but did not have much else to deal with in the last 20 minutes.
Benjamin Sesko - 7
Thrown into a difficult position with West Ham setting up in a low block after scoring, Sesko created space and took his goal superbly. Creating something from nothing, Benjamin Sesko salvaged a point for Carrick's men to keep his unbeaten streak alive.
Joshua Zirkzee - 5
Zirkzee came on just after the 80 minute mark but failed to make an impact, heading wide late on.
