Benjamin Sesko rightly took the headlines for his impressive late goal for Manchester United against West Ham. But Leny Yoro didn’t do badly either.
Michael Carrick made three substitutions when Manchester United were 1-0 down to West Ham.
Carrick brought on Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee and Benjamin Sesko, with the latter scoring a late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw.
Sesko received plenty of applause for his excellent strike. And it was nice to see Leny Yoro praised too for his defensive efforts.

Leny Yoro helped United stay steady
Leny Yoro had only played one minute under Michael Carrick prior to this fixture. He was thrown into the mix on 68 minutes after an injury to Harry Maguire, with United trailing.
Yoro helped United to repel West Ham’s attempts to score a second goal, in a game that became more ‘end to end’ as it went on.
Following the draw, former United star Wes Brown told MUTV that he was impressed by Yoro’s positioning and composure.

Brown explained: “Yoro was another one who came on and was excellent. He put himself in great positions. They could have been in [for a second goal].
“He approached and made the tackles when he needed to, as a defender you need to get it right when you come on.
“He looked fit, he looked healthy, didn’t look like he’d been out for a while. If someone like Harry is out, he’s a perfect guy to bring in.”
It is always difficult for centre-backs to come on and get adjusted to a game midway through, although Yoro and his teammates had to do this frequently under former boss Ruben Amorim.

United now have a break
After playing two games in four days, Manchester United now have a long break until the next fixture.
United’s next match is against Everton on February 23, a Monday night.
So while fans can clear the next two weekends, there is a positive, with the extended gap providing extra time for United’s injured players to recover.
Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt are both out and racing to make the fixture. Patrick Dorgu may take a little longer, while Harry Maguire’s status is uncertain.
