Everton crashed to an awful 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth – and it was not a good evening for Idrissa Gana Gueye.
The Toffees took the lead through Iliman Ndiaye, but then suffered a dreadful period in the second-half to lose the game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
What would your message to David Moyes be after another loss at home? 😫
He seemed fairly pleased with his players despite the defeat 😬

Everton were punished for lacking ruthlessness, with Thierno Barry squandering two huge chances.
Goals from Rayan and Amine Adli saw Bournemouth turn the game around, and Everton then had Jake O’Brien sent off.
It was a major opportunity missed for Everton, who could have gone sixth with a win.
David Moyes now has to get things back on track – and quite possibly, he should do that without starting Idrissa Gana Gueye.

MORE EVERTON STORIES
He’s started the last four games in a row since coming back, and his display against Bournemouth was potentially his worst.
He appeared to be all over the place positionally at times, and he wasn’t all that involved in terms of being combative. Sofascore data indicates he contested just five duels, winning two.
And in terms of his defensive contributions he was way down the list with just four in total. 10 players in the game made more than this.
He somehow managed to play a full game, but potentially Moyes needs to think about making a change.
David Moyes must consider dropping Gueye
Gueye has been looking slightly jaded in recent matches, and that is perhaps to be expected given how much he’s played this season.
He was heavily involved at AFCON, and has been thrown straight back in since returning.
Gueye is still very fit, but surely even he is feeling the effects of all these minutes he’s playing.
Moyes is fortunate to have pretty good midfield depth and arguably it’s now time for him to start using it more.
Tim Iroegbunam had some good outings while Gueye was away. Merlin Rohl really stood out against Aston Villa and may warrant more minutes.
Even Harrison Armstrong could perhaps replace him, or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could move a bit further back.
Does Gueye need to be dropped? 🤔
Idrissa Gana Gueye.
At the moment, it feels like he’s being run into the ground.
It’s also been suggested James Garner’s level has dropped since Gueye came back into the side, with some feeling they don’t really work as a pair.
We know he is a favourite of the manager. And there is no denying how brilliant a servant he has been for the club.
But maybe it’s time for his status as a regular starter to come to an end.
He absolutely still has a part to play. But a bit more rotation could benefit both Everton and the player himself.
