Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank following the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
An injury-hit Spurs side recorded an 11th defeat of the campaign so far as their torrid form in front of home support continues. Boos rang out around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at full-time, and not for the first time this season.
Frank has kept his job under increasing pressure in recent months and had ben adamant that he continued to have the backing of the board when speaking to the media following the latest defeat. The Tottenham manager explained he had held talks with chiefs in North London on Monday and was not concerned about his position.
However, on Tuesday morning, it was confirmed that Frank had been dismissed from his role at the club.
