Tottenham Hotspur sack Thomas Frank as manager with club lying in 16th

Thomas Frank has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle at home.
The 52-year-old Dane took charge of Spurs in June of last year after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou but there has been little to no improvement in the clubs league position since then, with the North Londoners lying in 16th.
