Spurs have finally bit the bullet and sacked Thomas Frank, after yet another defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
Frank has been fighting a losing battle as Spurs manager for some time, with the club slipping closer and closer to a scarcely-believable relegation battle with every passing game.

Last year's 16th-placed Premier League finish was overshadowed by their Europa League triumph, the club's first trophy in 17 years. As the club find themselves in the same position this year, there is a real possibility they could be fighting for survival in the coming weeks.
Spurs are yet to win a Premier League game in 2026 and, after throwing away a 1-0 lead to succumb to another home defeat against Newcastle on Tuesday, the club's hierarchy have pulled the trigger.
"The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today," a Spurs statement said on Wednesday morning.
Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.
The upcoming run of fixtures is daunting, and Spurs will be eager to hire a replacement as soon as possible.

One man who is already being tipped as a real candidate to take the job full-time is club legend Robbie Keane.

Robbie Keane tipped for Spurs job after Thomas Frank exit
Robbie Keane has emerged as an early candidate to replace Thomas Frank as Spurs manager, after the Dane's sacking on Wednesday.
Ireland legend Keane has established himself as one of the leading young managers in Europe, and is currently in charge of Hungarian side Ferencvaros, having led them to last season's domestic title.
Keane famously scored 122 goals in 306 appearances across two spells with Spurs, and one of his former teammates has tipped him to make the leap to managing the club.

Sky Sports News reacted to Thomas Frank's sacking on Wednesday morning, with host Michael Bridge saying Sky pundit Michael Dawson had texted him to tip Robbie Keane for the job.
Michael Dawson's just texted me saying, 'Robbie Keane.'
It's a big shout from a man who played alongside Keane at White Hart Lane for nine years.

Keane has certainly emerged as an early contender in the bookies' odds, standing alongside Johnny Heitinga, Roberto de Zerbi, and Oliver Glasner among the favourites for the job.
Bridge and the panel all agreed that Keane was a real contender for the job, though the host would note that the Irishman was unlikely to take the job unless it was on a permanent basis.
I was told that he wouldn't come as an interim. He's done ever so well abroad...that's a very interesting one from Michael Dawson there.
Would he do it as interim? I don't know.
He knows the club inside out.
That final factor is one that would certainly play in Robbie Keane's favour and could make him a popular choice among Spurs fans.
A cursory glance at social media on Wednesday morning suggests a decent cohort of the club's supporters are pulling for the Dubliner to take the job.
The key factor here is that Robbie Keane appears genuinely happy at Ferencvaros, and has enjoyed great success at the Hungarian champions.
He would be hugely unlikely to make any kind of move unless it were for a step up on a permanent basis.
If Spurs were to offer him the permanent gig as manager, it may be hard for Keane to say no.
Regardless of who replaces Thomas Frank, the future looks ominous for Spurs, who now sit just five points above the relegation zone in 16th place.
Their upcoming run of fixtures will see them face Arsenal at home and travel to both Liverpool and Sunderland. For a team who cannot appear to buy a win at the moment, these will be an anxious few weeks for Spurs fans.
