Leeds United have identified Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford as a top target for the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Elland Road side are reportedly looking to bring in a new shot-stopper to Daniel Farke’s squad after the campaign and have earmarked Trafford as their priority option.
The 23-year-old has struggled for regular minutes at Man City since re-joining from Burnley last year in a £27m deal.
With Gianluigi Donnarumma established as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, Trafford has been limited to just 10 appearances across all competitions under Pep Guardiola this term.

According to TEAMtalk, Leeds have emerged as serious contenders in the race for Trafford, who is keen to leave Man City this summer.
The Whites reportedly view the 23-year-old as an ‘ideal’ signing to provide a commanding presence between the posts and replace summer signing Lucas Perri, who has recently been dropped for Kyle Darlow.
Leeds would stand a strong chance of winning the race for Trafford if they manage to stay in the Premier League this season and avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
Farke’s side are anticipating fierce competition for Trafford’s signature after the season, with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United among his admirers.
Man City could look to generate a profit on the ‘world-class’ goalkeeper this summer, with reports suggesting they are valuing the shot-stopper at over £30m.
Trafford came through the youth ranks at Man City before leaving for Burnley in 2023, where he made 73 appearances and kept 31 clean sheets.
Leeds Battling Arsenal for Dortmund Star
Daniel Svensson in action for Borussia Dortmund
Looking well-placed to secure another season of Premier League football, Leeds are beginning to consider ways to strengthen Farke’s squad this summer and have earmarked Borussia Dortmund defender Daniel Svensson as a potential target.
The Elland Road side could reportedly face competition from Arsenal for the full-back’s signature, having been impressed by Svensson’s performances this season.
Svensson only joined Dortmund last summer from Danish side Nordsjaelland but has since established himself as a regular starter, making 31 appearances across all competitions and scoring three goals.
The left-back, who has won nine caps for Sweden to date, is under contract with Dortmund until the summer of 2029.
