Tottenham Hotspur have sacked head coach Thomas Frank in the aftermath of their home defeat against Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
The defeat against the Magpies, coupled with Leeds’ impressive comeback in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea, has ensured the Whites have leapfrogged the North London club in the Premier League table and heightened concerns Spurs are now in a battle to avoid the drop into the Championship. After winning just one of their last ten league games, the Premier League stalwarts are sitting just five points and two places above the relegation zone and that run of form has led to the decision to part company with former Brentford manager Frank.
One former Spurs star has hit out at his old club by describing them as ‘rotten’ and he believes they lack the fight that Leeds have shown during a major upturn in form over the last two months that has taken them six points from the relegation zone.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Spurs man Jamie O’Hara said: “At this moment in time and what I am watching, no we can’t fight like Leeds. The problem Spurs have got and because it is so outrageous where we are in the league for the second season, it’s so toxic and so bad it is like a sledgehammer has hit the football club.
“Everything about the football club now is rotten, it is disgusting. I think the players are complacent with the beautiful stadium, big wages, nice training ground and they haven’t got the stomach for a fight. I look at Leeds, West Ham and Nottingham Forest, they are up for it. They are all up for the fight. Then I look at Tottenham and I just see a side that isn’t up for it, they are not up for the fight. There is not one player out there that is dying for the badge. We are in a relegation battle and we are sleepwalking to the Championship.”

Speaking in his post-match press conference, the Whites boss said: "Proper night of football. Great night for everyone involved with Leeds United. I'm very proud of my players and just have compliments for them. Chelsea in red hot form, just wins in the Premier League here and just wins in the Champions League. We have to come here as a newly promoted side, several key players out, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, Pascal Struijk, the backbone of the team. Some players' first starts after injury. The quality Chelsea has, if you go 2-0 down it can be a long night but we have this never-say-die attitude. We have this belief we can always come back."
