The 57-year-old, who left his role at Swifts last October, has joined Angelo Harrop’s backroom staff, at the National League South club.
Dicks, who had three spells as Heybridge boss, has also had time coaching at West Ham, Watford, Grays Athletic, Wivenhoe Town and the Sealand National Football Team, along with being in charge of West Ham Ladies.

Chelmsford currently sit 13th in National League South.
Dicks stepped down from his role as Swifts boss last October, citing the budget along with ‘other issues and certain people at the club’ as the reasons behind him making the decision to leave after nearly 18 months in charge of the Pitching In Isthmian League division north outfit.
The ex-Liverpool and England full-back was appointed as Swifts boss for a third time in May, 2024 when he succeeded former Southend United boss Steve Tilson in the role.
