'Frank, sorry lad': Pablo Fornals tells The United Strand West Ham are 'too much' after Man Utd …

Former West Ham United star Pablo Fornals joking apologised to viral international sensation ‘The United Strand’ following Tuesday night’s Premier League draw with Manchester United.

Frank Ilett is a Manchester United fan who has vowed not to cut his hair until the Red Devils win five consecutive games.

As such, he has attracted an awful lot of attention on social media, and many were suggesting he was set for a much-needed trim heading into Tuesday’s game.

Let’s hear it then – what have you made of Adama Traore so far? 🤔

Michael Carrick’s side have won four successive games heading into the clash at the London Stadium and were seen as favourites despite West Ham’s good form.

Still, West Ham drew 1-1 with Manchester United and that result favoured Carrick’s side, who were lucky to escape with even that.

Now at Real Betis, Fornals is still a huge West Ham fan, and he has told Mr. Ilett that his former side were simply too much for the Red Devils to overcome.

It would have been nicer to reflect on a victory, of course.

However, after so much talk about the haircut being imminent, the Irons did prove that they weren’t just willing participants in what has become a sideshow.

After the dust had settled, a clip was uploaded on The Real Betis official X account.

“Frank, sorry lad,” said Fornals.

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you that West Ham will stay up this season? 🤔

“Your team did unbelievably against big teams but West Ham are too much.

“Sorry my friend, you step up against a helicopter. Unlucky, you have to wait another five. Come on you Irons!”

Michail Antonio also sends message to The United Stand

Another former West Ham player in the form of Michail Antonio also enjoyed the fact that the haircut has been delayed.

Antonio remains a popular figure at West Ham and he was part of the TNT Sports team who covered the game on Tuesday night.

Like former teammate Fornals, Antonio was delighted that West Ham proved themselves. There was constant talk about the haircut in the build-up to the game, which may have actually been somewhat disrespectful to a West Ham team in fine form.

Speaking on TNT Sports, Antonio said: “They would have wanted to win. Especially for that guy, I don’t remember his name but he wants to get a haircut.

“Well, you ain’t cutting it now.”
