Newcastle United star Jacob Ramsey has spoken of his relief after netting his first Toon goal since his £41million move from Aston Villa.
Ramsey slammed home in the second half before wild celebrations erupted from the away end. In truth, the three points came against a poor Spurs side, who have now sacked Thomas Frank.
But after three consecutive defeats in the Premier League, this was a vital win for Eddie Howe. Howe had been questioned over his transfer policy in recent games but Ramsey delivered.
Ramsey told TNT Sports: "It has been a while. I have been playing different positions and today was playing a little bit higher up.
"The manager is demanding I need to get my numbers up and thankfully I got my goal."
Howe then went on to make a key point in his Press conference about the purchase of the ex-Aston Villa star and Anthony Elanga.
Howe told Chronicle Live: "The idea behind the signings is they are good ages - they will only get better. They are really good athletes; they have pace, and their legs are really important."

Malick Thiaw makes admission
The German defender was sent out to face the media at Spurs but there were few other talkers - despite the win.
Recent criticism of the players will have naturally stung some of the players so an all singing flow of players through the mixed zone was never likely given recent results.
Nevertheless, Thiaw told Premier League Productions: “It was a huge three points for us, especially if you look at the last few games. We were struggling, we have to be honest about that, but it’s a huge win for us - spiritually, mentally – we are happy for the win."
Bruno Guimaraes honesty
The Brazil international was another to bring standards to the table after the 2-1 win. The South American ran himself into the ground and ended up coming off injured.
Speaking after the game on Instagram, Bruno said: "Very happy with the win. This looks much more like what we're capable of doing.
"Great character from the team."
