Everton supporters are worried that the Hill Dickinson Stadium is hurting their success this season, but that’s not exactly the case.
The Toffees suffered another home defeat on Tuesday as David Moyes’ side were beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth, as the Cherries came back from behind to stun the home fans.
Everything was looking up for the Blues when Iliman Ndiaye buried his penalty, but Rayan and Amine Adli’s quickfire goals flipped the script.
Everton fans had been suggesting that the Hill Dickinson Stadium was not the right move to make, even before the loss, with Goodison Park still sorely missed.
But if history is anything to go by, it’s clear the Toffees have been struggling at home in the Premier League for some time, regardless of the stadium.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium isn’t the problem; the stats prove it
It doesn’t seem like there is an atmosphere issue at Hill Dickinson Stadium, as Bluenoses always ramp up the noise for the team on matchdays.
But, there still seems to be concerns among the fanbase that the ground could be a failure of a move, similar to Tottenham’s switch from White Hart Lane.
However, when looking at the Toffees’ home record at Goodison Park from the last five seasons, it’s clear that, as of recent times, success at home hasn’t always been guaranteed.

It’s easy to forget that Moyes has had to deal with absences too, which have undoubtedly affected this.

Everton have 16 points from 13 games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and are currently at the bottom end of the league table for home record.
If the Toffees keep up their current form, then out of these six remaining home games, they will pick up an estimated 7.38 points.

Considering the Blues want to push for a spot in Europe, it simply won’t be good enough. However, context is required.
In another season where Moyes has fewer injury problems, it will only then be fair to judge the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
