Newcastle are willing to sell summer signing Nick Woltemade later this year, with Bayern Munich willing to do a deal for around £40m, according to a report from Football Insider.
Woltemade made the move from Bundesliga side Stuttgart in the summer transfer window, and despite enjoying an impressive start to life in the Premier League, the German international has dropped off in recent weeks. The Magpies invested a whopping £69m to bring him to St James' Park last year, perhaps panicking after some unsuccessful striker pursuits.
Yoane Wissa also made the move to Newcastle in the summer, giving Woltemade some strong competition for the centre-forward role. Against Tottenham on Tuesday evening, Eddie Howe deployed Anthony Gordon as a striker, something he also did against Liverpool recently, showing a lack of faith in both Woltemade and Wissa.

The Bundesliga giants were also interested in Woltemade in the previous summer window, but it was the Magpies who won the race after paying £69m to secure his signature. Woltemade, described as 'unstoppable' by talent scout Jacek Kulig, could be on the move once again, but it remains to be seen how much Newcastle would be willing to offload him for this summer.
The German international has scored seven Premier League goals so far since his arrival, but his last goal was on 20th December against Chelsea. After a strong start, he's no longer a guaranteed starter for Howe, and he's not replaced Alexander Isak as they would have expected.
