Coming into the game off the back of a 2-0 defeat against West Ham that saw the Turf Moor faithful turn on the Clarets boss, things appeared to be going from bad to worse when Burnley went two goals behind during the first-half.
But a crazy seven-minute spell saw the visitors score three times before holding on in the second-half to claim a first league win in 17 attempts.
“It means a lot,” Parker said afterwards. “It means a lot mainly for the team and the group, to be fair, because we've been through some tough times.
“It's been a real soul-searching coming off the back of the weekend where it was clear what that was.
“Tonight was everything that I preached to this group. Tonight, if ever there were any questions or doubts about this group in terms of their fight, their spirit, their commitment, it was in abundance.

“We haven't just won the game tonight, we've won the game from being 2-0 down, away to Crystal Palace in our current situation. We've fought ourselves back into the game and it was massive for them.”

Parker added: “The thing that just stands at the forefront of my mind is what this group have gone through, what the last two days have been.
“To come here at 2-0 down and do what they did was absolutely incredible. This game will stay with me for a long, long time, because of that really, when the doubters were there and the adversity was in us, we managed to pull out a result which was incredible.
“We've managed to do something tonight that, honestly, I cannot describe to you.
“Last weekend, we were at home, and the adversity, the stress, the clear frustration on everyone, that performance tonight, I'm sorry, there's not many teams that could do that. Not where we are, not where we currently sit.
“Coming out of a home fixture against West Ham, where we're practically getting booed off the pitch by our own fans, and I understand that, I'm not criticising that, I've got my views on that, but to come here and 2-0 down, that just speaks absolutely volumes.
“I've got four sons, and the one thing I say to them is exactly that. My four sons, if ever there was learning for them young boys of mine, it's tonight.
“Because in these moments, when people could wilt and people could fold, that group, what you see tonight, yeah it was unbelievable.”
