Breaking: Another Ange successor axed as PL club search for fourth manager of the season

A second Ange Postecoglou successor has been sacked in the space of 24 hours with Nottingham Forest dismissing Sean Dyche after a scoreless draw at home to last-placed Wolves on Thursday morning AEST.

Dyche lasted only 114 days at the City Ground and the end of his time in Nottingham comes after Tottenham sacked Thomas Frank, Postecoglou’s replacement in north London, yesterday.

Forest are now looking for their fourth manager in a season after announcing the English manager’s axing after midnight local time.

Forest are locked in a relegation battle as they sit only three points clear of the drop zone with 12 games remaining in the Premier League season.

A resurgent West Ham, under former Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo, are breathing down their necks, having picked up ten points in their last five matches, and Forest have no doubt felt the heat.

Forest are in the midst of a three-game winless run, which also includes a 3-1 loss to fellow relegation-threatened side Leeds United.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach,” a club statement read.

“We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.”

Dyche signed a contract until mid-2027 when he took over from Postecoglou in October.
