He rose above Vitalii Mykolenko at the far post to power a header past Jordan Pickford in the Everton net to draw Bournemouth level at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Asked about his goal, Andoni Iraola said the height and physicality of the winger was something the club was on the hunt for.

“It's one of the things we were looking at in the winter market because we've lost this season Antoine [Semenyo] and Dango [Ouattara], probably two of the most physical wingers in the league,” Iraola said.

“We needed someone, not that profile, but with some physicality and he could help us also in set plays that we are quite short so I think he's adding this thing to the team.”
The goal came from a superb Adrien Truffert cross, for his second assist of the season.
Iraola praised the delivery from the Frenchman, and he said: “I'm also happy with the assist of Adri, right foot, very strange of him but it's an incredible cross.
“It's good because he's someone who arrives a lot of times to those positions, probably he is not getting the numbers and to add a cross like this, an assist like this, I think it's going to be good for his confidence.”
