Nottingham Forest are searching for their fourth head coach of a chaotic season after dismissing Sean Dyche overnight.
Dyche was removed from his position following a scoreless Premier League stalemate with bottom-placed Wolves on Wednesday evening, having overseen the City Ground for merely 114 days, with the East Midlands club making the announcement at half past midnight on Thursday.
Forest's inability to capitalise on their countless opportunities against Wolves left them sitting three points above the drop zone. A club statement confirmed: "Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

Forest are said to have identified Vitor Pereira as a primary candidate to succeed Dyche. Former Wolves boss Pereira would become the club's fourth manager this season after previous departures of Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou.
Forest secured seventh place in the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo last season, narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification after a disappointing conclusion to the campaign but earning European competition for the first time since 1995-96.

Nuno penned a fresh three-year contract at the City Ground in June 2025, but was dismissed in September following a deterioration in his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Ex-Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was quickly appointed as the Portuguese coach's successor, but endured just 40 days in the role with Marinakis brandishing the axe once more moments after a 3-0 thrashing by Chelsea. Dyche, who resides in Nottingham and came through the club's youth system, became the club's third first-team manager of the campaign on October 21 and was accompanied in the technical area by former Forest legends Ian Woan and Steve Stone.
They defeated Porto in his debut match at the helm and appeared to have found their footing following a commanding 3-0 victory at Premier League champions Liverpool a month afterwards.
Wednesday's stalemate leaves Forest with merely two victories from their previous 10 Premier League fixtures – a spell during which they were also knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Wrexham – as they battled to distance themselves from danger in the relegation scrap.
