The January transfer window has only just shut but Everton are already making plans for the summer.
Everton only signed one player in the winter, as Tyrique George signed on a six-month loan deal from Chelsea.
David Moyes was fixated on signing a striker, but the Scotsman pivoted to a winger after Jack Grealish’s injury.

That means there’s still a lot of areas of the squad that need addressing ahead of next season, and with that said, the Toffees are already eyeing a centre-back.

Everton target Marcos Senesi nicknamed ‘El Gladiador’
Over the last few days, it has been reported that Everton are keeping tabs on Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi.
The Argentinian centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season, so the Toffees seem to be lining him up as a possible Michael Keane replacement.
Senesi would be regarded as quite the coup, as Chelsea, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are believed to be in the race.

How would you feel about Wayne Rooney joining Moyes’ staff at Everton? 🤔
Everton icon Wayne Rooney.
The 28-year-old was nicknamed ‘El Gladiador’ by his previous fans at Feyenoord, and he revealed that it was his Father who started calling him that.
“Actually that comes from my father, he always says ‘come on gladiator, you are doing well, blah blah blah,” Senesi said in 2022.
“They took it, the fans, and they started to call me that.”
Marcos Senesi would bring goals to Everton
Most of the top teams have players all over the pitch who can contribute goals, so the potential arrival of Senesi would be really shrewd business by Everton.
The Argentina international certainly has a knack for scoring, as in the 2023/24 season, he had the most goal involvements for a defender in the Premier League.
Senesi registered eight goal contributions from centre-back, so that’ll certainly be a reason as to why Moyes is showing an interest.
With Keane departing, the Toffees will want to sign a replacement who is equally as good in the attacking box.
